Tout commence quand un étudiant, nommé Raito/Light(ça dépend des versions), trouve un mysterieux carnet dnas l'herbe. Ce carnet n'est autre que la death note d'un shinigami appelé Ryuusaki. Raito apprendra que cet objet fait mourrir la personne dont le nom sera inscrit dans ses pages. Raito a alors l'idée de créer uun monde snas criminel et commence à les déssimer par dizaine. Il est appelé Kira et est soite crain ou admiré par la population. Bientôt à se tout puissant Kira s'opposera un autre individu de la police qui n'appelle pas tuer rendre justice et est déterminé à arrêter Kira, il se prénomme L. Commence alors un longue lutte entre ces deux génies...



Evrything starts when a young man, Raito/Light(depends on the cases), finds a mysterious note book in the grass. This note book is in fact the lost death note of a shinigami called Ryuusaki who has the power to kill the person bearing the name written inside it's pages. It then comes to Raito's mind to try to create a world without criminals and he start to kill them by dozens. He is called Kira and is either feared or admired by the population. Soon, against this all-powerful Kira, one person will oppose himself who thinks murdering people is not justice and is therefore determinded to stop him. His name? L Starts then a long and hard battle between these two genius minds....
